ABQ Chess offers unique chess content with a local, New Mexican flavor. This content is arranged by Eddie Wyckoff, a chess enthusiast and composer who resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You can see his chess experience here.
ABQ Chess offers syndication rights for chess puzzles and columns at competitive rates. Your publication can choose from monthly, weekly, several times a week, or daily options to fit your needs.
Please note that for all of these options, ABQ Chess Features retains the right to simultaneously publish these puzzles in other publications.
Basic Option
With the basic option, you receive a chess puzzle with a title, level of difficulty, brief caption of the task (e.g. “White to move and win.” “White to move and mate in 2.”), description of the source (if applicable), and the answer. Sometimes a hint is also included, as is the case for the example below. The answer is flipped upside-down to prevent spoiling the reader.

Same as above, but also included are a few sentences related to chess. This may discuss the puzzle in more detail (such as the event or composer it comes from), world chess news, local chess news, or other chess-related topics. Please see the example below for what this looks like.

If your publication is interested, you can syndicate the Sunday ABQ Chess column featured in the Albuquerque Journal after they have published it each Sunday. You would receive a packet of files each Monday that you can use to integrate the column into your publication with whatever unique space constraints you face.
This option also comes with support — I will work with your features editor and designers to ensure a smooth inclusion process. Below the layout example that follows, feel free to check out examples of diagram and text files included with this option.

An invoice will be sent by the last Monday of the month at the latest, and it will include all charges for that current month. All puzzles that are sent that month are included on the invoice, even if the date of publication is the following month. Payments are accepted by PayPal invoice or by check.
